I was tasked with reinventing the look and feel of WSOC’s news brand promotions. Over the course of a month, I shadowed reporters with a still camera, capturing hundreds of candid moments from the field. These images were then carefully animated and paired with real soundbites from their stories, resulting in a fresh and authentic style of commercial that highlighted the station’s commitment to impactful journalism.

For WSOC’s special on Rae Carruth’s release, I crafted a 30-second promo designed to feel more like a movie trailer than a traditional news spot. Using archival footage and dramatic editing, I built tension and intrigue that kept viewers hooked and eager to watch the full report.

Chilisleep launched their new DockPro product and asked for a commercial that would show it in action. To bring their vision to life, we built a full bedroom set designed to replicate a nighttime environment. Although the DockPro doesn't actually freeze your bed, the special effects were fun to create anyway.
To promote Tearribles’ one-of-a-kind dog toy, I crafted a stop-motion spot that turned the toy itself into the star of the story. The velcroed limbs, which were designed for dogs to tear off and put back together were animated in a short fun story, emphasizing the product’s durability and replay value while entertaining viewers.
WSOC wanted a fresh, eye-catching way to promote their Severe Weather Team, and I was tasked with creating a new visual style. I combined 3D modeling and animation with 2D elements and live video to design a mixed-media spot that stood out from traditional news promos and gave the weather team a modern, dynamic presence.
